Ohh La La Vs. Coy

Hey,
After seeing so many great reviews on Topshop lipsticks I went in the other week and bought both 'Ohh La La' & 'Coy.' I couldn't decided between the two colours and had seen a few blog posts on Coy, so ended up buying both. Coy comes in a pencil which is £7 and Ohh La La is £8 which is quite reasonable.

Both of these lipsticks are quite a similar colour and on the Topshop website they're both described as 'Coral Blush.' In the picture Ohh La La is the top and Coy is the bottom.
When I tried both of these on I found that Ohh La La suited me more as it was slightly darker and not as matte as Coy. Coy ended up drying my lips out quite a bit, whereas Ohh La La was really moisturising. I also felt that my skin tone really didn't suit Coy which disappointed me as it looks amazing on other beauty bloggers I've seen wearing it! I'd really recommend Ohh La La if you find you get quite dry lips.

Here is a picture of Ohh La La on. I didn't post a picture of Coy on as it didn't suit me but maybe if I tried it with a lip balm or gloss over it I'd like it better!  Whats you're favourite Topshop lipsicks?

Love Heart Sweetie Ring

Hey Guys,

Just a short post to share one of my new purchases with you that I thought you'd like!
The other day I came across a lovely website called Bits and Bows. I love unique jewellery so I was excited when I found the 'Sweet Treats' collection on the website! They have rings, bracelets and necklaces made out of replicas of old retro sweets and treats. I found it so hard to just pick one (I only picked one because I'm poor right now) and I decided to go with the Love Hearts 'Be Mine' Ring but I also really loved the Iced Gem and Jammy Dodger ring.

My order came in just two days and it was wrapped beautifully in pink paper and came in a little pink pouch which I think made it more special, you could tell a lot of effort went in to the presentation of it. I really recommend you have a look at this website if you love quirky jewellery, there is so many cute things! You can buy this ring here - Bits & Bows.

China Glaze Capitol Colours

Hey!
I'm obsessed with The Hunger Games, (you should definitely read the books) so I was so excited when I heard China Glaze were bringing out their 'Capitol Colours' collection. The collection has 12 nail polishes, each one representing the 12 different districts. Each Nail Polish relates to it's district, for example District 4 specializes in Fishing and their nail polish is called 'Hook & Line.'

I found it really difficult to choose which ones to buy as I love them all, so I ended up choosing District 11 - 'Agro' and District 12 - 'Smoke & Ashes.' My friend Jacqueline bought District 1 - 'Luxe & Lush' and let me photograph it!

My favourite out of the two I purchased is definitely Agro as I've not got a colour similar to it. It's a sort of Khaki Green colour and has a lovely shimmer to it. I like Smoke & Ashes too but wish it was sparklier as it's quite subtle and from a distance it just looks plain black. However, I needed a new black nail polish so I'm happy with it. I only needed to apply one coat of each as it's quite thick and it dried really quickly!

I think both these colours go well together!

Here is a few pictures of my friend Jacqueline's nails with Luxe & Lush. This polish is more of a top coat that can go over another colour. Jacqueline has put it over Rimmel - Apricot Punch. This is only one layer of Luxe & Lush but you could add more for a different look. I really like this nail polish as it's different from my usual glitter top coats.

I'll definitely be buying another couple of the Capitol Colours, I've got my eye on Electrify & Dress Me Up.
Have you tried any of the Capitol Colours?

BaByliss Boutique Dryer

Hey Guys,

Not long ago I was lucky enough to win a twitter competition with @BabylissUK and received one of their Boutique Dryers - 'Italian AC Dryer 2400.' It's from their new Boutique range which also includes the 'Loose Waves' tong and 'Smooth Ceramic 235' straighteners.

The  Boutique range offers to give salon results at home and it does not disappoint! I was so excited when I won this as my old hairdryer had just broken and it was a really generous prize.

This is the best hairdryer I have ever used! It dries my hair in about 5 minutes at the most and is about 3 times faster than my old Tony & Guy hairdryer. It is quite small which makes it easy to hold and a good travel size - it will 100% be coming to Ibiza with me! It also comes with a little dust bag which I keep it in as I'm a neat freak.

Grazia magazine did a review on it and 9 out of 10 readers said it was the best hairdryer they'd ever used and 10 out of 10 said it was the faster! I totally agree with the review.

You can buy it from Argos and it has 20% off just now. It RRP's at £74.99 and its down to £59.99 which is expensive for a hairdryer but if you're willing to spend that amount I definitely recommend it.

Thank you BaByliss!

I Heart Neon

Hey Guys, it's Melissa
This is my first post so be kind!

So everyone that knows me knows I have an obsession with everything neon right now. At first I wasn't brave enough to go out and purchase something full on neon so I started with my nails.

The first two I bought were Ultra Pro - Fuchsia Rage and China Glaze - Orange Knockout. I got these both from Sally's and as I have a trade card the Ultra Pro was about £2.50 and the China Glaze £6. Both these polish's have a matte finish as you can see in the first photo, which personally I like. However, they also look good with a shiny top coat which I have applied in the bottom picture. They go on reasonably thick and I only had to apply two coats.

The next two are from the Nicki Minaj O.P.I collection (I know I'm a bit behind getting these) and they are 'Did It On 'Em' which is a green/yellow and 'Fly' which is a green/blue. I got them in a mini 4 pack collection from ASOS which cost £12.95. The large ones separately are £11.00. I love these colours and again only had to apply two coats. In real life they aren't as bright as they look in the photo which I'd of liked. I think I'm going to buy a large 'Did It On 'Em' as it is definitely my favourite.

The Nicki Minaj set also came with two other colours - 'Pink Friday' and 'Metallic For Life' which I'll probably do a post on in the future.

Hope you liked my first post!
what do you think of neon - love it or hate it?
