Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

The UK finally got Maybelline Fit Me foundation! I've seen this foundation on a few American blogs and recently seen a couple pop up over here, it's also been featured in a few magazines lately. So when I was in Superdrug yesterday I decided to pick one up and give it a try.

I was immediately drawn to this foundation because of the beautiful packaging, its so sleek and simple which I love. Now all I had to do was pick my shade...beside the foundations there were charts to help you find your perfect colour - light skin, medium skin and dark skin with either a yellow or a pink undertone. I usually use MAC NC30, so I went for medium skin with a yellow undertone and got #220 - Natural Beige. I'd say its a slightly different tone from my MAC foundation but it still matched my skin fine. For a drugstore foundation I'd say the choice of shades is excellent.

Fit Me is Maybelline's first gel foundation, it contains no oils or waxes and according to them it has natural coverage and allows the skin to breath and look natural. Also, because of the lightweight pigments it allows the skins natural highs and lows to show through. It has an SPF 18 in it which is an added bonus.

The texture of the foundation is gorgeous, it glides onto the skin so smoothly and gives the skin a dewy look. It also smells really nice! The coverage is quite light and personally I prefer a foundation with more coverage. I've got this foundation on in my previous post if you'd like to see it on. Fit Me foundation costs £7.99 and can be purchased in Boots stores (It's not online yet). Overall, I think it's a great foundation if you like a light coverage. Unfortunately, its just not for me.

Have you tired Fit Me yet?

  6. I had a dream about this foundation last night...must be a sign! I've requested a sample of this to see how it fares on my skin, I only just purchased Naked Skin by Urban Decay and I'm head over heels for it. I need to start getting some high street foundations into my makeup bag though, the amount I spend on high end foundations in one year is worrying x
