L'Oreal Paris False Lash Telescopic Waterproof Mascara
Mascara is the one item in my makeup bag that I like to switch up a lot and I don't exactly have one particular HG brand. A few of my favourites include Dior Show, Maybelline The Falsies and Benefit They're Real! and now I have another one to add to my list - L'Oreal Telescopic. I'd always seen Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup rave about this mascara but never really thought about picking it up until I ran out of my Falsies and headed into Boots in search of something new to try. I'm really picky about mascaras but since I trust Anna's judgement I decided to give it a go.
The main things that I look for in a mascara is length and volume (obviously) at the same time, sometimes I find it hard for a mascara to give me both of these together but Telescopic definitely does. I also really like the thin, plastic brush which makes it really easy to do my bottom lashes as well. I usually always prefer plastic mascara wands as I feel that they coat each individual lash and make my lashes look more defined. Also when L'Oreal say waterproof, they mean waterproof, like I can even put my face directly under the shower without it budging. However, there is also a downside to this - it's so bloody hard to remove! I really need to invest in a good eye makeup remover (any recommendations are welcome) but I've also heard Bioderma does the job nicely. Sadly, I've ran out of my Bioderma and haven't got round to repurchasing it yet so getting this baby off at night is a chore. It's worth it for long, fluttery eyelashes though, right?
Overall, I'm really impressed with this mascara and it's definitely one I can see myself repurchasing. I paid £10.99 for this at Boots which is a bargain compared to my usual Dior or Benefit one. Have you tried this mascara before? What's your favourite?

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
I'm always looking for a good drugstore mascara that I can use everyday and leave my favourite high end one (Dior Show) for more special occasions. My previous favourite, Max Factor Eye Brightening mascara might just have a competitor in Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama.
I first wanted to try this mascara after seeing Tanya Burr use it a lot in her YouTube tutorials, she mentioned it was her favourite drugstore mascara so I was tempted. Then my sister bought it and and suggested I try it because I love the false lash effect - nothing natural on my eyelashes! I finally caved in just before Christmas and bought it when I came across it while browsing in Boots.
Maybelline says: 'False lash glam goes extra black, extra matte. A false lash look, corner-to-corner, no gaps. Extremeley black.'
I love this mascara, it lengthens and thickens my lashes while making them look more defined. I also love how black it is. The 'spoon brush' is excellent for giving my lashes a fanned out effect, I felt that it gave my lashes a curl without having to use my eyelash curler which is a bonus. However, the brush is bigger than I'm used to and the mascara was really wet when I first got it, so I did find that I made a bit of a mess with it sometimes (this gets better once it dries out a bit).
The Falsies costs £7.99 from Boots, which is really reasonable for a good mascara. Overall, I really like this product and think I'll be using it along with my Max Factor one, no more high end mascaras for me right now which will save me money! Have you tried this mascara?
P.S Sorry about the before picture of my eyes, I didn't realise it was blurry until I edited it and had already taken my makeup off.

Max Factor Eye Brightening Mascara For Brown Eyes
When Boots 3 for 2 is on, I feel like it gives me a chance to try products that I wouldn't normally pick up as you're getting one for free. When I was in the other day I was struggling to pick a third product, it was between this mascara and an Essie nail polish. Since a nail polish is probably the last thing I need I decided to give a new mascara a go as I was intrigued by the fact that it's meant to brighten your eyes.
Max Factor Eye Brightening Tonal Black mascaras come in three colours that are designed to brighten each specific eye colour: Black Pearl (brown eyes), Black Sapphire (blue eyes) and Black Ruby (green eyes). Obviously, I got the brown one. According to Max Factor, the formula contains light reflective particles which add a subtle brightening effect to the eyes and gem coloured beads which enrich the eye colour. The Masterpiece ifX brush gives "even, clump-free volume and definition."
Personally, I'm not sure that it does actually brighten my eyes or I just think it does because that's what it's meant to do. However, I love the brush, its small so it manages to coat each individual eyelash and as you can see in the photo above it definitely gives my lashes volume.
Overall, I do think that i'll be using it as one of my every day mascaras along with my They're Real! Does it give my lashes volume? Yes. Does it brighten my eyes? I'm not entirely sure but I do like this mascara. You can buy this mascara in Superdrug for £6.99 or online here. If you're looking for a good mascara without wanting to break the bank I recommend you try this.
Has anyone else tried this mascara?

Dior New Look Multi-Dimensional Mascara
I started using the original Dior Show mascara when I was 17 and it's been my favourite ever since. I decided I wanted to try a new mascara and then spotted a review for the new Dior New Look Multi-Dimensional mascara on the lovely Jennifer's Blog. It looked amazing so I went straight out and bought it.
This is a volume and treatment mascara that contains a volume enhancer and a lash multiplier TM serum to thicken, separate and extend your lashes. Over time your lashes strengthen and appear fuller. It also has a nano-brush, which in the picture you can see is about half the size of my original Dior Show mascara brush. I think the small brush is an excellent idea as sometimes I find it hard to do the smaller, inner corner lashes and bottom lashes but this makes it really easy.
Before After
As you can see in the photos above this mascara really works! My lashes are longer and thicker and the nano-brush ensured that I didn't miss any. I've applied two coats of the mascara here but you can apply less or more depending on what look you want to go for. The mascara costs £23 and can be purchased at House of Fraser.
What do you think?
