Currently Loving: Midi Rings

I had been lusting after the River Island midi rings that a few bloggers had been wearing for a while but never got round to buying them, so when I noticed some packs in H&M for just £3.99 I decided to buy a couple. I'm now addicted! Since buying them I've been wearing them everyday and also bough a couple of other packs. They look good on their own as well as paired with some normal rings to finish an outfit off.

I really wish I'd got the RI ones now. What do you think? Have you bought into the midi ring trend yet? My aunt asked me why I was wearing rings that were too small for me!

P.S in case anyone's wondering my nail polish is one of the Barry M Gelly's in Passion Fruit - one of my favourite Summer colours.

Necklace Haul

[1. Topshop £7.50/ 2. H&M £9.99/ 3. H&M £9.99/ 4. H&M 7.99]

Recently I've been a bit addicted to buying statement necklaces and thought I'd do a short post to share them with you. I love wearing a statement necklace with my jumpers in the winter, it can dress them up or just finish off a simple look. I especially like wearing them with a plain black jumper and jeans or disco pants during the day which can also take me into night time if I don't have time to change. I've been wearing the cross necklace to death since I bought it, but I think my favourite is number 2! I've had so much wear out of all of them this winter and think I'll continue to during the warmer months (if we get any). Since I work in H&M, I'm always seeing the new jewellery that comes in. There were so many pretty necklaces to choose from, but I managed to narrow it down to just 3 - I suggest you go in and have a look! What do you think of my choices? Have you bought any nice necklaces recently?

OOTN 4

Dress: H&M
Blazer: H&M
Belt: Old
Shoes: Kurt Geiger
Bag: Moschino
Jewellery Topshop

First of all, sorry about the terrible quality of the pictures, my camera had ran out of battery and I got my mum to take them on her phone quickly before I went out. I was at an engagement party on Friday night and this is what I decided to wear. I think the dress is actually a top but because I'm so small I thought I could get away with it as a dress! I loved the colour of it when I seen it in the shop and I'm also loving the cut out shoulder style at the moment. I've had my shoes and bag for a while now and hardly go a night out without them both. The shoes are so comfy and the bag goes with everything. I also added a bright contrasting lip - the lipstick I'm wearing is Lady Danger by MAC. My hair isn't as long as usual because I'm waiting for my new Foxy Locks extension to arrive!! I'll definitely be doing a post on them when they come. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

My H&M AW12 Picks

1. Burgundy Coat £39.99
2. Cashmere Scarf £29.99
3. Black Trousers £29.99
4. Fluffy Top £19.99
5. Burgundy Shoes £29.99
6. Pink Jumper £19.99
7. Black Boots £24.99

I was having a look at the new arrivals on the H&M website and decided to put together my top picks for AW12. I'm loving burgundy this season and the coat and shoes are gorgeous statement burgundy pieces. I'm also loving the fluffy top and jumper which will be nice and cosy for the colder weather coming in. The cashmere scarf is a gorgeous piece and as it's such a neutral colour it can be worn with so many different outfits, I'd definitely wear it a lot this season. There's also the black trousers and black boots which will go with everything!

I've put together 3 outfits to show you how I'd wear these pieces:

Outfit 1
  • Pink Jumper
  • Black Trousers
  • Cashmere Scarf
  • Black Boots
Outfit 2
  • Fluffy Top
  • Black Trousers
  • Burgundy Shoes
Outfit 3
  • Burgundy Coat
  • Black Trousers
  • Black Boots
All I need now is some money to buy them! What's your top H&M picks for this season?

My Mum & my friend Jacqueline did my hair inspired by a picture of Jessica Alba

Last Night I had the great opportunity to attend The 7th Annual Scottish Fashion Awards. My university is one of the sponsors and gave the Fashion students complimentary tickets.

The awards were at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow and hosted by the lovely Alexa Chung. When we arrived we got to walk down the red carpet and get a few pictures taken. There was catwalk shows and musical performances from Amy Winehouse's Goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield and Tallia Storm who had just performed with Elton John the night before. There was also guest presenters such as model David Gandy (yum) and Millie Mackintosh.

It was amazing getting to see fashion legends such as Christopher Kane and Stella Tennant winning their awards. It was also great to see all the new and up coming Scottish designers. The awards ended with a gorgeous and exclusive Swarovski catwalk show and we moved on to the after party.

The after party was at the Blythswood Square Hotel in Glasgow with a Belvedere cocktail reception and amazing cake bouquets by Cake Cetera. The hotel was gorgeous, definitely one the most beautiful hotels I've been in. We stayed there for a couple of hours and even managed to catch a glimpse of Christopher Kane and Proudlock up close! We didn't manage to get a picture though as they were getting mobbed by girls but a couple of my friends did.

Overall, it was a great night and I'm hoping to be there next year too!
