OOTN: Zara Florals

Dress: Zara
Necklace: Zara
Shoes: Kurt Geiger
Bag: Moschino

I haven't done an outfit post in a long time so I thought I'd post some photos of what I wore to a wedding last night. The photos aren't very good quality because it was dark and I had to use the flash but I loved my dress too much to not post it.

It took me so long to try and find a new dress, everything is so casual at the moment as all the winter knits and coats are coming in but you can always count on Zara which has fast become one of my favourite places to shop (I want everything in it at the moment). This was the only dress from the entire high street that I liked and luckily there was one size left on the mannequin and it fitted me. It was also such a bargain, only £25.99. I loved the contrast between the floral patter and the lace detailing around the sleeves and hem and after seeing the price I had to have it. Because the dress was so cheap I treated myself to a necklace to go with it which was £30. I'd never usually spend that much on a necklace but my budget was £50 so I thought why not! It also went perfectly with the dress.

I accessorized with my favourite black KG's and Moschino bag which goes with everything and decided to go for a black smokey eye and pink lip. I also scraped the very last bit of foundation out of my Armani Luminous Silk bottle as it's my favourite foundation ever and I can't afford to repurchase it at the moment.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

OOTN: Cobalt Blue Trousers

Crop Top: Topshop
Trousers: Forever 21
Shoes: Primark (old)
Necklace: Zara

I haven't done an outfit post in a while so I thought I'd take some quick photos before I went out. Last night I went to my friends 21st Birthday party and wanted to wear something that wasn't a dress or a skirt for a change. I tried on loads of trousers in Topshop but fell in love with the colour of these ones from Forever 21. I also picked up this plain black crop top from Topshop for just £8. I'm loving the crop top trend at the moment, especially with high waisted trousers and pencil skirts. I seen a few lovely patterned pencil skirts recently that I think will look gorgeous in the Summer. I also wore a Zara statement necklace and the comfiest Primark shoes ever that I've had for a couple of years.

Ever since I got my hair dyed and stopped wearing my extensions I've been feeling like my hair has been looking really fine and flat so last night I got out my hairdressing scissor and chopped my extensions so that they were the same length as my hair. They are slightly lighter than my hair now but once they were in they actually blended quite well and made my hair look a lot thicker and added some volume to it. For my makeup I just did a simple black smoky eye (as usual) and added a pair of Eylure lashes and a nude lip. I've also been trying out a sample of the Lauren's Way Darker Than Dark tan and I absolutely love it. I've got fairly dark skin anyway so a lot of fake tans don't make much of a difference but this is definitely the darkest tan I've used - I wouldn't recommend it if you're quite pale though! This is the second Lauren's Way tan I've tried out and they both get a thumbs up from me, I'll definitely repurchase.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, unfortunately it's not a bank holiday for me and I'm working tomorrow!

OOTN: Charity Fashion Show

 Bodysuit: Missguided
Trousers: New Look
Blazer: New Look
Shoes: New Look
Rings: H&M

First of all sorry for the lack of posts last week, I was really busy and didn't have much time but I've got lots planned for this week. Last Thursday I was kindly invited to the Style at Merchant Square fashion show and VIP reception. The show was in association with House of Fraser and was held to raise money for The Prince & Princess of Wales hospice which was such a great cause and I had a really lovely night.

When we arrived at Metropolitan in Merchant Square we were welcomed with a champagne reception and got to sit and chat to other bloggers and get our photo taken while we waited on the fashion show to start. An hour later we headed downstairs to watch the main event and we luckily got to sit in the front row. After the show, a raffle was drawn with some amazing prizes (unfortunately I didn't win anything as usual) and then we went back in to Metropolitan for another sneaky drink (followed by a chippy - glamorous).

I wasn't sure what to wear at first, I didn't want to go too fancy and wanted to get my Spring wardrobe back out (even though it's still freezing/raining/snowing in Glasgow). I had not long bought my Missguided bodysuit but hadn't wore it yet so planned my outfit around that. I decided on bright floral print trousers that I bought last year and absolutely loved and finish it off with a matching blazer. I think I'm going to start doing more outfit posts on my blog for a change since it's mainly beauty, what do you think?

I hope everyone had a good weekend and in case you haven't yet please follow me on Bloglovin here.

Sorry this post is so late, I've been working long hours this week! On Saturday it was my friend's 21st birthday party so I needed something new to wear. I've always loved all the dresses on the Motel website so that's the first place I looked and fell in love with this off the shoulder skater dress as soon as I saw it. Also, if you sign up to receive the Motel newsletter, you get £10 off your purchase. The only annoying thing was that you had to spend £39 to get it and my dress was £38!! The cheapest thing on the website was a very ugly £3 pair of fishnet socks (yes, fishnet) and since I wanted the dress so much I ended up getting them too (they are now in the bin). The dress was as gorgeous on as it was on the website! I also added my sister's gold belt at the waist to finish it off.

For my makeup I really wanted to wear my new favourite MAC lipstick, Diva. Since I went for a dark, statement lip I toned down my usual black smoky eye and went for a more neutral look. I also added some gorgeous lashes that GWA kindly send me to try, I love them!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend...even though it's almost the weekend again!

Yesterday I blogged about the Hilton event that I attended and thought I'd share with you what I wore to it and what makeup I used. I wanted to show you guys a bit of a different makeup look and since I usually go for either a smoky eye or statement lip, I went for natural eyes and a nude lip (there was a lot of eating and drinking so this was appropriate)

MAC Angel has been my go-to nude lip for about 5 years now, nothing will replace it and I used a Bobbi Brown palette on my eyes (which had been hidden away in my makeup drawer for months). I kept my skin quite natural and instead of using a blush I used MAC Mineralized Skin Finish in Dark on my cheeks for a sun-kissed glow.

It took me ages to decided what to wear and while I was looking through my wardrobe I came across a black midi dress I'd bought way before Christmas and had totally forgotten about. I wasn't sure I would suit it as I'm quite short and my legs aren't exactly the skinniest, but I went for it anyway and ended up really liking it. To make it a bit more casual I added a cross necklace, some ankle boots, my studded shoulder cardigan and my favourite tartan scarf. I think I'll need to wear this on a night out soon and dress it up with some heels and big hair.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Last night I went a night out in Glasgow with my two friends. It was a bit of a last minute thing and I picked up this top in work for £6 and thought I could wear it with my disco leggings. As you can see, me and Jacqueline ended up wearing matching outfits, but her AA Disco Pants are the real deal - jealous! My boots are from Primark last year, they have fur round the top but they can be worn both ways so I've zipped them right up. I also need to mention how much I'm loving my Foxy Locks extensions, they're so thick and long and I'm definitely getting my moneys worth out them. I got to wear a lot of my new makeup, I love my Armani foundation and cant wait to review it for you. I didn't get a good photo of my makeup so sorry for the horrible one above! I've also got on my St Moriz tan which I got for £2.99, such a bargain and makes me so dark. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I'm now in bed dying!

Last night I went to the Cheryl Cole concert (eek!) at the SECC in Glasgow. If you don't know already I'm in love with her. When we got there we realised that we were quite far away from the stage but we ended up moving up to 5 rows from the front as my very lucky friend got moved to the front row and gave us his other tickets!!  First of all Cheryl is even more beautiful in real life if that's even possible, we ended up right up at the barrier for the finale and could almost touch Cheryl (I almost cried).

She put on such a great show with lots of dancing and swan diving off the stage - her dancers are amazing! She sang all of her best known songs along with a few new ones from her new album. She also did a little Girls Aloud Medley which I loved. There was a bit where Will.i.am was projected on the back wall so they could sing 3 Words together. My favourite songs she sang were Under The Sun and The Flood. Cheryl had 5 outfit changes but I think her first gold jumpsuit was my favourite, she looked stunning in it. Her hair and makeup were absolutely flawless.

So overall, I had such an amazing time at the Cheryl concert and I'm so excited for Girls Aloud to get back together - definitely need to go see them! I still can't believe how close we managed to get to Cheryl as well. Are any of you going to see Cheryl this year or have already seen her?
